LUNA'S LOVES

I could sit here and talk about how to eat healthy or my favorite makeup routines or fashion, but if I don't honestly feel beautiful then those things are just bandaids to a major problem. I remember watching a dove campaign a few years back where several women had to describe themselves to a sketch artists and they also had someone else who had only met them once describe themselves. The results were shocking. When woman saw the result that they gave the sketch artist, they looked mean, unhappy, bigger noses, or harsher features. However, when the the total stranger described them, the sketch results came back more positive. The women had kind eyes, sweet feature, and were overall prettier. It's funny thing when someone captures what we actually think of ourselves. You can watch that video HERE.
As it turns out, we really are what we think. This is a process that take continual mastering. Just when I think I've got a handle on it, a lie tries to come in and grow. The outcome of negative self talk can result in depression or anxiety. If we don't learn how to manage our thought life, we will live in constant turmoil within ourselves. You can really only benefit from loving yourself better. It helps build confidence, it can reduce stress and anxiety, and produce an overall self-love for yourself! Here are two things that helped me:

  1. Stop comparing, it's only hurting you. Comparison is unfair.
  2. Speak love over yourself. As soon as an negative thought comes in, speak the opposite over yourself out loud. This may seem silly at first, but your words carry power.
I hope that you begin to see the beauty that other see in you!

So, what did I miss? Because this mama forgot to buy eclipse glasses and had to fight the urge to star at the sun. Don't worry, I didn't.
But hey! You can get this look for Tobi. They have a great variety of styles that are cute and affordable! I'm obsessed.

Current summer obsessions: rompers. There are somethings that I put on and I automatically feel fancier. Like this romper. Rompers are  are cute, fun, playful and way better than dresses because they are basically shorts. And in case you were wondering: no, I do not condone the "romp-him." Let's kill that one before it starts, shall we? Check out Tobi for more looks!

First off: yes, I am alive. I have been taking some time away from blogging so that I can can re-group. I was catching myself being consumed a little too much with "keeping up" with social media that I decided to take a small time out. Sometimes when things get busy, I tend to want to put my head down, and run for things harder. While working hard isn't a bad thing, never having time for myself is. Life should be a continuous cycle of rest, work, and play. They all work beautifully together like a sort of rhythmic tide.
Rest. Why is it that I think I can get away with leaving the one out? I constantly feel like, "Ugh, I'm not doing anything." But more often than not, I regret not monitoring my rest. It's better for everyone, trust me.
Work. Work gets a bad rap. Mainly because some people see it as a means to an end. Luckily, I have a job that I enjoy that involve my passions and I work along side people that I enjoy.
Play. For me, this means exploring new places or trying new foods or being with people that I love. It's like giving life to my mind and I can feel it stirring up creativity within me!
Each are significantly important, and when I leave one out I find my equilibrium being thrown off. You see, it's all about balance. So start your week off right and protect each stage- your rest, your work, and your play.

About a year and a half ago, Andrew and I remodel our kitchen. We've been adding the finishing touches and they have turned out successful. When we started this project, we set out to make a home that we could fill our friends in and feed them! But for the last few months I noticed how stained our porcelain sink was starting to look. Coffee stains and good old wear and tear was starting to get the best of it. I was seriously racking my brain to find something to clean it. I scrubbed with hot water, looked for a variety of sponges or products, but finally just purchased Viva® Vantage® towels and Clorox® Cleanup  Cleaner + Bleach and I literally watched all of the stains disappear! Viva® Vantage® have 40% more per roll, compared to Viva® Regular Roll. And Clorox has 99.9% germ killing strength; It’s specially designed to clean and disinfect a variety of stains on a variety of surfaces. The best feature is the Smart Tube Technology® that helps you can spray every last drop. I'm still not really sure what took me so long to just go to my local Walmart and pick this stuff up. It's not rocket science! The solution can really be that simple.

Need to pick up your own?
Visit your local Walmart and pick up your own Clean Squad of Viva® Vantage® Paper Towels and Clorox® Cleanup  Cleaner + Bleach cleaning spray!

Launching July 5th, save $1 off any Viva Paper Towels 6 pack or larger. Starting 6/21 save $.50 off any Clorox Clean-Up Cleaner + Spray varieties.
