LUNA'S LOVES

These girls are so young and talented! They have such great tone and texture to their voice. I just love it! Harmonies are difficult enough, but the tiny one kills it in each song- its ...just wow.

So I had a little bit of a break down this past Thursday. I suddenly felt swamped and overwhelmed with everything and I just cracked. I coulnd't put words to exactly what I was going through- it wasn't just one thing. Between shcool, work, ministering, and a social life a felt spent. Andrew took me for a drive and calmed me down and made me realize that I was forgetting my "me- time." When I first moved up to Colorado and my dating life was basically non-existent, I always went on hikes, did random things, rented movies, and basically just hung out with myself. I am naturally an introvert and I don't say that I "hung out with myself as a negative thing. I just generally liked myself and enjoyed being alone. Now that things have become busier and all I want to do is to be next to Andrew, I have forgotten that I still need my alone time. So I planned to do that the next day, Unfortunately, I got sick and was basically forced to relax- but whatever. I will take it however it comes. So, don't forget about yourself, please, and you can avoid a melt down like I did.

This weekend, we went out for sushi and went karaoke-ing, and even had  mini day-cation where we made our way up to the Springs. We also went to Target for whatever reason and found a $17 deep fryer on sale. After walking around with it we decided to get it. We spent the next evening frying everything we could think of- cheeze sticks, pickles, zucchini, chicken, and even french fries. Later on we sort of regretted it and felt super unhealthy afterwards, but it was still pretty awesome. I am going to have so much fun with this fryer. The other day I made a joke to Andrew about how awesome our life is, and after we chuckled a bit out of amusement, we realized, yeah, our life is pretty freakin' great. It is not because we live this lavish, glamourous lifestyle. I think it is because we just utilize our moments actually living, and that is the best way to enjoy things.

This song seems to be on constant repeat in my playlists. It is so simple and sweet, plus, it features one of my favorite singers- Sara Bareilles.

Happy Halloween! This week has been a little strange. It was nice to dress up, if even for little bit, and enjoy people around me. I feel like I am on vacation this week, despite the fact that I haven't even left Colorado. I think it is maybe the fact that I am learning how to take things in stride. I have a good cry now and again, which never happened back in Dallas. I would just suck it up and not let my "weakness" show. I disliked vunerability. But I am learning it is okay, not to be okay. Plus, it helps that I have someone to hold me in those moments. I try not to fight my tears (sometimes) and let myself just take in what I am feeling. Then after I go through that, I start making things happen. That is how I am handling my life now. And so far, it works. It becomes exhausting to try to hold it all together. So, here's to new methods and change!
